The Dangers of Drug Abuse in Our Societies

Drug abuse has become a subject of constant discussion on the radio, television and in newspapers recently. The threat of drug abuse in our country has reached alarming proportions and has invaded all sectors of our society. The drugs, which are made of medical substance made by pharmacists to cure ailments people "is wrongly used and abused by people across social strata. Many people just walk through the pharmacies near their homes to buy drugs that are not prescribed for them by a pharmacist or doctor, who abuse drugs.

There are plenty of dangers in the drug abuse. In fact, many families have endangered the lives of their parents, self-medication. There are many cases of young children who lost their lives simply because their parents, drugs administered and their children. In our society today, it is common to see young children with a deformity or the other. This is because many drug abuse pregnant women with ease. They simply buy and use drugs without a prescription during pregnancy. The resulting effect of this act ignorant is that most babies are born with a deformity or the other.

Drug abuse also leads to the various cases around the country have psychiatric. Several young people use drugs such as heroin, cocaine, cannabis affects the brain. They take these drugs ostensibly because they want to be fashionable and want to be bold and daring. Consequently, most of them constitute nuisance to society and end up in psychiatric hospitals.

Our national prestige and honor are not spared the gruesome effect or social unrest called drug abuse. Many people who travel abroad are subjected to search derogatory entry points in other countries. This has destroyed our international image as many people are found to be messengers of those carries and hard drugs.

Many crimes in countries can be related to drug abuse. The high rate of crime is a pointer to the danger inherent in drug abuse. Armed thieves like operating under the influence of drugs that make them be as bold and ruthless in their nefarious activities.

It is true that drug abuse has raised a lot of dangers to our society and the government must do something about it. Our people need to be illuminated by the dangerous consequence of drug abuse. Mass enlightenment campaign should be organized by the government. In addition, the government must also be a law that prohibits a chemical drug selling paper to the public without prescription from a doctor or a pharmacist. religious organizations also have a role to play in educating the public about the dangers of abuse.
